Solfege & Theory
At Invicta Musica we also offer solfege and music theory classes, both individual and in a group setting. Whatever your level or goal is, there’s a place for you. Whether you are a beginner or a more advanced musician, we can help you build a stronger foundation for your musical development and freedom.
These classes are for those who:
Want to expand their skill set by learning a new “language” that will allow you to learn pieces on their own
Wish to reinforce and expand your knowledge and dive deeper in the world of music theory and language
Have been wanting to start learning to play an instrument like piano, violin, cello, etc.
Are already a singer or instrumentalist but have been learning by ear, and want to be able to pick up more songs more quickly, or to improve music-reading ability.
Desire a new outlet for their creativity.
Musical notation is a universal language, so it will be understood by every musician in the world, on every instrument, no matter where they are from.
Reading music allows us to understand pitches and rhythms. Interested in different genres of music like classical, jazz, country, and blues? Sheet music opens up the possibility to learn different styles of music much more quickly.
This skill allows us to learn a variety of instruments, and join different social/community activities like a choir, orchestra, or band. It allows you to play or sing along with others, because it keeps everyone in time with each other. You will also be able to play along with your favorite songs, or learn to play the accompanying parts.
Learning to read and write music allows you to share your own musical ideas through composition.
Ever had a melody come to mind for a song?
These classes will give you the basic tools to begin jotting down and communicating your musical ideas in a tangible way.
